8. Business & Operating Model
Bricopia pairs a for-profit operating company with a non-profit foundation, connected by the BRICO token and a network of affiliated cell banks.
Figure 8.1 in the source whitepaper describes the operating model. Settlement may occur through USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, BRICO, and stem-cell assets.
Bricopia Inc develops the technology and runs day-to-day operations, issuing and redeeming BRICO. Donors who contribute to the public model and families who store cells privately can hold or transact BRICO, while affiliated cell banks process, custody, and tokenize their inventory.
Settlement can occur in USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other tokens, freely convertible with BRICO.
The Bricopia Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, sits alongside the operating company. It is designed to provide subsidized medical insurance to members and to fund cell-and-gene-therapy clinical research, aligning commercial growth with a public-benefit mission.
